History

YOGA

Yoga is an ancient practice that has become a philosophy of life. Originating in India over 5000 years ago, it is also known as a holistic system that works on both body and mind simultaneously. Anyone can enjoy its benefits without having to change their worldview. Currently, people are seeking the best way to improve their lives in all aspects, whether physical, mental, relational, self-development, or spiritual well-being. Yoga, therefore, is not just a physical exercise, but also a mental/emotional one. The word has many meanings such as knowledge, means, union, relationship, path, etc.

Some practices can be more vigorous and work the cardiovascular system, and in conjunction with a balanced diet, they can even promote weight loss, but the greatest benefit is increased flexibility and physical health, as well as balance and mental health.

The body becomes more toned, and relief from ailments is noticed over time with continued practice.

We live in an extremely hectic world, and everything abruptly grabs our attention. Yoga helps us bring our focus to the present moment and teaches us to sift through what truly deserves our attention and energy.

"Yoga is the stilling away of the activities of the mind."

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a method that implements a slower, more passive and silent rhythm, stimulating self-observation and introspection.
It works on connective tissue, which is Yin (passive) in nature, unlike muscle work, which is Yang (active) in nature.

Yin Yoga aims to work the tendons, fascia, and ligaments to promote flexibility throughout the body. These tissues respond more slowly to the work done on them and should be worked differently from others; that is, the student remains in the posture for up to 5 minutes so that the tissue can move safely, acting as a kind of traction.

We should also mention the emphasis the practice places on the mental aspect, because by remaining in the same posture for a considerable amount of time, we work on silence, introspection, and what this leads us to within ourselves, as well as patience, helping us to slow down from the frenetic daily routine and helping to restore our vital energy. Over time, this flexibility carries over into our daily lives, as we come to understand that everything is impermanent.

A practice dedicated to the body, mind, and the present moment.
